Annual Conference Schedule

An annual conference for Neonatal Nurses has been held sinc 1997. Formerly under the name of the Australian Neonatal Nurses Association (ANNA) until the association became a College in 2006.

The annual conference of the College rotates between the states and territories of Australia.

2012: Great Beginnings, Greater Futures. Celebrating Achievements in Neonatal Nursing

The Australian College of Neonatal Nurses Inc. (ACNN) is delighted to host the 7th Annual Conference 'Great Beginnings, Greater Futures. Celebrating Achievements in Neonatal Nursing' and the Gravens Seminar on the Physical and Developmental Environment of the High Risk Infant in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia.

The ACNN Conference Day and Gravens seminar will provide a forum for health professionals to explore the challenges we face in providing optimal care for our small clients, their families and their communities. 

We invite you to attend this exciting conference and workshop to reflect on practice and to share innovative ideas and experiences with colleagues.

Thursday 6 September:
    ACNN Executive Council Meeting (closed meeting)
    Special Interest Group Meetings (education, neonatal nurse practitioners, research & clinical practice groups - all members of ACNN/State Associations welcome)
   
Welcome Reception - come along to meet and greet colleagues while enjoying the best of The Hunters wines and canapés. This event marks the beginning of the celebration of neonatal nurses, neonatal care and the 20, 15 and 10 year respective anniversaries of State Neonatal Nurses Associations, the College and the Journal.

Friday 7 September
   ACNN Annual Conference 
   Celebration Dinner - The Great Cask Hall at the Hope Estate Winery. The great cask hall is one of the most impressive Barrel Rooms in the country. The evening commences with a hosted winery tour (in small groups), including tastings from vats and barrels, with the service of canapés. Sparkling wine will be served on completion of the winery tour in the Cellar door before moving into the great cask hall for dinner. Be entertained with popular music by the funkydodas!

Saturday 8 September
   Gravens Seminar on the Physical and Developmental Environment of the High Risk Neonate 
Farewell Soiree - round off what will have been an exceptional two days with cheese, mezze and wine beside the beautiful surrounds of the pool. Farewell until next year!
