Thursday, 12 January 2012 The Professional Officer is a (non‐voting) member of the ACNN Executive Committee. The term of office is 2 years with the option of renewal for a further one term.
Expressions of interest are called for from the ACNN membership for this role, as Trudi Mannix, the current professional officer, has served 2 terms and thus will retire from the position in March 2012.

Tuesday, 20 December 2011 ACNN Competency Standards for Neonatal Nurses
Expressions of interest are invited from interested members to form a working party to review the ACNN Competency Standards for Neonatal Nurses 2nd Ed (2007). This will be the third edition of the standards. Shelley Reid will act as working party leader and editor. The consumer review will be undertaken by the ACNN SIG-NE (this does not preclude individual SIG members from applying for the working party).
The working party will be limited to 10 members and will be approved by the ACNN Executive.

Tuesday, 20 December 2011 As President of the Australian College of Neonatal Nurses (ACNN), I am very proud to announce the 2012 Neonatal Nurse Excellence Awards.
The aim of this prestigious award, which is open to all neonatal nurses who are members of ACNN and working in the area of neonatal nursing Australia-wide, is to recognise an individual neonatal nurse’s achievements and to encourage excellence in the provision of neonatal care.
