The Neonatal Nurses Association of Queensland Incorporated in consultation and partnership with the Australian College of Neonatal Nurses will provide Neonatal Nurses in Queensland with a forum to:
- Provide professional educational requirements, clinical skill development and enhanced knowledge base expansion through evidence based practices
- Develop professional recognition
- Focus on providing and embracing advancement in clinical care models to meet the ever changing diversity of Neonates
Activities: Conferences, meetings and newsletters
- Annual State Conference & Annual General Meeting in August
- Bi-annual General Meetings are held in May and November. The meetings are twilight sessions and feature two to three invited speakers.
- Bi-monthly Executive Committee meets (January, March, May, July, September & November)
- The Northern Region Education Sub-Committee meets on a bi-monthly or as needs basis in Townsville
- NNAQ E-mail bulletin produced monthly
- Newsletter: the Neonatter which is published 3 times per year
