In the ACT there are a number of opportunities for educational support for neonatal nurses.

  • The ACT offers nurses a Post Graduate Course in partnership with ACT Health and the Australian Catholic University. The graduate certificate consists of a total of 4 units, 2 units are offered online through ACU and 2 units are offered as face to face lectures at the Canberra Hospital. Successful participants are able to continue study and complete a Post Graduate Diploma and a Masters Degree
  • Placement within the clinical area is a prerequisite for acceptance into the postgraduate course
  • Scholarships are available for nurses undertaking postgraduate courses in the ACT

Transition Program for Graduate Nurses with a placement in the Neonatal Unit
