Nurse Unit Manager (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) – The Townsville Hospital

Our Neonatal Unit provides the only Level 6 tertiary neonatal service North of Brisbane. It has 12 NICU and 22 Special Care Nursery cots and coordinates the Neonatal Retrieval/Transport Service for the North QLD area. About the role

This position will provide advanced clinical nursing and operational leadership amongst the multidisciplinary team to ensure activity targets, clinical and non-clinical resources, and decision making align with the vision, goals and key performance indicators of the Health and Wellbeing Service Group and Townsville Hospital and Health Service to support effective patient-centred care and service planning.

The incumbent will need registration with APHRA and possession of a current practising certificate. Tertiary qualifications relevant to the position, or working towards same, would be highly regarded. Applications will be accepted from senior Nurses with previous management experience. Clinical experience in a related field would also be highly desirable.

  • Total remuneration package value up to $133,534 p.a.
  • Base salary range of $107,804 to $117,037 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7)
