The Neonatal Unit within Dorothea Devine Maternity Unit is a Level 4 Special Care Nursery, providing care and support neonates and families from 32 weeks gestation. We offer holistic care with a family centred approach. The unit is serviced by dedicated Registered Nurses, Lactation Consultants and private Paediatricians.

About the role
You will provide quality patient care through clinical nursing practice, promoting collaborative relationships amongst the health care team and maintaining a customer-focused approach to nursing across the continuum of care.


  • Provide clinical practice and care consistent with the mission and philosophy of the facility
  • Ability to achieve assigned KPIs
  • Plan and coordinate patient care effectively, maintain patient advocacy and utilise patient management systems
  • Participate in and support education activities and to contribute to the development of self and other team members

Qualifications, skills & experience

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, and qualifications and/or experience in Neonatal Nursing
  • Willingness to be a positive team member with an attitude to support others and problem solve efficiently
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements
  • Current clinical knowledge and critical thinking ability
