The Branch provides a forum for discussion and debate about how neonatal nurses can work together to achieve optimal care for neonates and their families. Its role is to provide support for professional development, education and research opportunities, provide leadership in clinical care and contribute to health care policy within NSW.

Branch Committee Meetings
The committee meets by teleconference with one face to face meeting for annual activity planning. Frequency of meetings is usually every 2 months but is determined by the planning work required throughout the year.

Terms of reference and annual report
Terms of reference, report on past activity and plans for the coming year are submitted to the National Executive for every calendar year. The current versions are located in the Members only area.

Seminars
Seminars are held throughout the year, in both metropolitan and country locations. Country seminars are usually held on a Saturday in June. In 2023 a special seminar is being held in Broken Hill, hosted by the NSW Branch, the Education SIG, and the SA Branch. Details are posted on the EVENTS tab.
