Queensland Branch

The Queensland Branch of ACNN has approximately 400 members from a mix of regional, rural and metropolitan public and private neonatal and midwifery services across Queensland.






The Queensland Branch committee promotes high standards of neonatal nursing by:

  • Supporting the professional development of Queensland nurses with an interest in neonatal nursing care, research, leadership and management;
  • Providing leadership in clinical care;
  • Promoting neonatal nursing to the wider health care community and the public;
  • Contributing to statewide healthcare policy;
  • Providing a local link to the National ACNN committee;
  • Providing a forum for networking with national and international professional bodies, associations and health practitioners.

Activities

  • Committee meetings every month via ZOOM
  • Promotion and support of Neonatal awareness campaigns including International Neonatal Nurses Day (15 August) and Light it Purple, World Prematurity Day (17 November)
  • Represent Qld members at National committee meetings

National Newsletter

The national newsletter is produced 4 times a year in March, June, September and December. Highlights of activities, members’ achievements and planned events are included in this publication, emailed to all members. All members are encouraged to contribute to the newsletter either directly to newsletter@acnn.org.au or via the branch.
