Dr. Media Esser is a neonatal nurse practitioner and nurse scientist based in the United States whose work focuses on neonatal skin integrity and prevention of skin injury in premature and medically complex infants. She is currently leading the development of a neonatal skin integrity program across a large neonatal network in Ohio aimed at standardizing evidence-based skin care practices and improving outcomes across multiple NICUs. Her research examines contributing factors to diaper dermatitis in the NICU and translates neonatal skin physiology into practical strategies for bedside care. She is also the founder of Tiny Layers Neo Skin, an educational platform dedicated to advancing neonatal skin science for clinicians and families.
