ACNN's Low Resource Countries SIG is actively engaged with Taking Paediatrics Abroad (TPA), providing neonatal nurse's to deliver monthly educational sessions via Zoom to colleagues joining from many of Australia's neighbouring countries. Through case discussions, clinical education and supportive conversations, the care-giving capabilities of doctors, nurses and midwives are boosted, helping to save lives & strengthen health systems

Taking Paediatrics Abroad (TPA) is a registered charity enhancing care for neonates and children with complex medical problems by enabling the collaboration of Australian paediatric subspecialists with treating clinicians in low resource countries in the Asia-Pacific region.


The Torie Finnane Foundation (TFF) endeavours to improve maternity services in regional New South Wales through the provision of professional development opportunities. ACNN is delighted to have partnered with the TFF for the ACNN NSW Branch and supporting subcommittee's to deliver 'Babies in the Bush' education seminars to regionally based Midwives, Nurses and Special Care Nursery staff.  


The Miracle Babies Foundation (MBF) is Australia's leading not for profit organisation working to improve, support and enhance all lives impacted by a premature or sick birth.  ACNN is privileged to be the recipient organisation to offer to members the Miracle Babies Foundation Marlene Dunn Scholarship.  
This scholarship will support ACNN members to undertake quality improvement and research projects.

ACNN is a member of the Council of International Neonatal Nurses (COINN). ACNN is actively engaged in supporting this global leader in neonatal nursing care to foster excellence in neonatal nursing, promote the development of neonatal nursing as a recognised global specialty, in setting high standards of neonatal care, to enhance the quality of care for neonates and their families, decrease health disparities, and improve healthcare outcomes.    

  • COINN hosts events/conferences in both developing and developed countries. 
  • COINN has a growing list of position statements relevant to care of newborns, neonatal nursing education and social statements such as family violence and ethical migration.

ACNP and ACNN Collaborate for Nurse Practitioner Excellence in Neonatology.
This partnership is designed to promote leadership, advance research, and offer crucial support for Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and advanced practice nurses in the field of Neonatology. Under this collaboration, all members of ACNN gain access to a full membership with ACNP at the associate member price. This allows you to become a part of our community of over 1900 skilled individuals dedicated to excellence in advanced practice healthcare.  

ACNN is pleased to be a part of the Australian College of Nursing (ACN) Affiliate Program. This program offers complimentary event registrations for ACN events and a complimentary ACN membership for an ACNN member. ACNN is pleased to have partnered with PSANZ  to sponsor the Neonatal Nurse awards for best oral and poster at the PSANZ Congress in 2024 and 2025. 




The University of Tasmania (UTas) and ACNN have partnered to offer a range of postgraduate qualification scholarships to ACNN members.  As a member of ACNN you will receive a heavily subsidised fees for graduate certificate and diploma degrees.
