Presenter: Laura Bignell
Bio: Laura is an experienced clinical service leader having worked in a number of tertiary and non-tertiary settings across Maternity and Neonatal Intensive Care Services. Laura is the Chief Midwifery and Nursing Officer at the Royal Women's Hospital in Victoria. Laura's focus is to ensure service delivery and models of care are designed to attract and retain the very best midwives and nurses. She strives to support nurses and midwives to work to their full scope of practice including clear pathways to advanced practice, leadership, research and education. "Over the course of my 30 year career I have discovered a career is not a static path but a dynamic journey shaped by values, life circumstances, opportunities, professional aspirations and a fair bit of good luck!"
