Topic: Hypoxic Ischaemic Encephalopathy (HIE): Stabilisation, Seizures and Outcomes
Presenter: Dr Simone Huntingford
Bio: Dr Simone Huntingford is a Neonatologist with the Royal Children's Hospital NICU and PIPER retrieval service. She has a special interest in neonatal neurology having completed Australia and New Zealand's inaugural Neonatal Neurology Fellowship with Monash Health/Monash University. Simone is a keen educator and the Neonatal Clinical Simulation Lead at RCH. She enjoys breaking down complex topics for a variety of learners, and focusing on what is important at the cot-side for baby, family and clinician.

This webinar will use cases to demonstrate the practical steps involved in stabilisation of the newborn with HIE. It will cover strategies
for brain protection and include information on seizure recognition and management. Finally, the session will touch on the latest evidence
on outcomes in HIE.
