Presenter: Dr Lindsay Zhou
Bio: Lindsay is a consultant neonatologist at Monash Newborn, and is completing his PhD at The Ritchie Centre, Monash
University with the Neonatal Cell Therapy Group. Hailing from Tasmania, Lindsay completed his specialist training in Melbourne. He is
particularly interested in improving outcomes for extremely premature infants, and is the chair of the Monash Newborn Small Baby Group and
Victorian Extreme Prematurity Collaborative for 2025-2026. Lindsay’s research has involved the world’s first clinical trial of cord
blood stem cells for extremely preterm infants, completed at Monash Children’s Hospital in 2023, and continues to work towards new
treatments for preterm brain injury.
