In keeping with the ACNN vision and mission statement in the promotion of excellence in the care of neonates and to enhance the quality of clinical practice and research, ACNN promotes and facilitates research related to neonatal care.
ACNN has established a Research Special Interest Group, whose members are able to offer assistance in the following areas:

	ACNN Member Participation in Research 
	The National Executive encourages member participation in research and respects that member participation in research is voluntary.
	Research requests to be distributed to members from internal and external researchers are reviewed by the national executive and only
	distributed if deemed relevant to members. ACNN does not give members details to researchers, the participation request and documents are
	distributed electronically by ACNN. Confidentiality of members details is maintained at all times. 
	Research Requests to Engage ACNN Members
	Researchers wishing to recruit ACNN members for research/quality improvement projects (e.g. surveys, interviews, cross-sectional studies)
	are to email the professional officer, providing
	the documents as outlined in the research
	request and approval process.
