The Renee Collisson Neonatal Nurse Travel Grant was established by
the Low Resource Countries Special Interest Group
(LRC SIG) and the ACNN Executive in memory of Renee, a brilliant, engaging member of the LRC SIG with a huge passion for humanitarian
work. Her sensitivity, empathy and compassion for health workers, mothers, neonates, infants and children was genuine and on
display for all to see in the many low resourced settings in which she volunteered or worked.
This travel grant is to facilitate the professional learning and development of nurses/midwives who care for small and sick newborns in low resourced countries across South East Asia and the South Pacific. The grant provides financial assistance to cover travel, accommodation and other direct expenses, to support professional development, or attendance at conferences or events.
In 2026, the Renee Collisson Neonatal Nurse Travel Grant will support participation in the 12th Council of International Neonatal Nurses Conference, hosted by ACNN, in Darwin from 25-28th August 2026.
