Call for Abstracts

  1. Close 30 April 2021
  2. As part of the submission process you will be asked if you have presented (oral or poster) at a National or International conference previously as part of the process for determining new and experienced presenters. All ACNN members presenting either a poster or oral presentation are eligible to be considered for a presenter's award (winners receive up to $700 as a prize*) in the categories of new or experienced presenter.

Please read the Oral and Poster Presentation Submission Guidelines prior to starting the abstract submission process.

In summary - abstracts MUST comprise the following elements:

  1. Title: The abstract title should be in Sentence case i.e. first letter capitalised: Not All Capitals

  2. Authors: Authors' names should be supplied in the surname-first format with first name initial only and should be in Sentence case i.e. first letter capitalised: Not All Capitals. Please underline the presenting author.

  3. Affiliation: Institutional affiliations should be indicated with superscript numbers following the author name. All affiliations should contain institution and city.

           Example: New, K1,2 & Ng, L2

           1 Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital, Brisbane; 2The University of Queensland, Brisbane

       4. Abstract text:

          i. Must be written in English. Please check for spelling and grammar errors.

          ii. The official abstract template must be used. 

         iii.The body of the abstract must not exceed 250 words.

         iv. Use of printing enhancements such as different fonts, underlining, italics (except for foreign words or scientific names where necessary) are not to be used. 

  1. Pictures/diagrams/figures: Abstracts cannot include pictures/diagrams/figures.
